Chumphon Park Resort ★★

Friendly staff

Convenient for those who drive. You just park your vehicle right outside your room!

It looked clean, and the room and bathroom were big - they are the only pros I can say. If you are driving there is a car space next to each hut.

Everything - it looked like a big hut. The main window looked out to the entrance. No facilities on site. I took a 10 minute walk in each direction and there were no restaurants or bars. I asked the receptionist to call me a taxi and I left. I did not feel safe staying there.

All the essentials were there

The people at the reception didn't speak any English, the room was bare and not very pretty and the grounds were downright ugly

For driving, is good, there have own car park for every resort.

People there cannot speak English. Restaurant nearby menu no English, totally cannot order food.

Accommodation was in a large Bungalow. The bed was very comfortable. Good Restaurant with music nearby.

The GPS location is wrong which created a small problem.

Stayed one night prior to heading to koh Tao. Good value for the money. Booked a 2 king bed room for only 600 baht.

Hard beds.

Large room. Very quiet location. Very nice restaurant 100 yards out of the entrance (turn right, restaurant in left)

Very run down on the outside. Looks deserted and poorly kept. Room decor is quite old and not nice. A little hard to find.

Very basic but we knew this before arrival, stayed one night as a stop over in the way to koh Tao, rooms were big with fridge, aircon and TV, a bit further out from town than others but 7/11 only a short walk away, they even sold snacks drinks and beers at reception, no cigarettes though and was told it was very far to find any especially as it was late at night so one of the staff popped by our bungalow on her motorbike and offered to take me to 7/11 which like stated earlier turned out to be only a 5-10 minute walk. Great value and lovely staff but recommend only for a stop over unless you have transport. They were also great at finding us transport the next morning to get breakfast and then to the ferry pier. A lovely hippy old man in a slightly beaten up a/c mini van who proceeded to rattle off in Thai for the entire journey much to our amusement (to be fair we had offered up a bit of thai "pood thai di nid noi ka") he dropped us off at a nice Thai buffet for breakfast and waited for us to finish before escorting us to lomprayah pier. All in all a good find.

as I said a little far from town but we didn't know the area well at the time of booking and just went for one of the cheapest that wasn't to far from the pier
